Phi Group carried out over £4,000,000 of retaining wall works at various Olympics sites. We worked for Balfour Beatty, Sir Robert-McAlpine, Skanska and BAM Nuttall across the Olympic venues. Our works included Textomur reinforced earth, gabion retaining walls, concrete panel reinforced earth walls and soil nailing. Our sister company Keller Foundations also carried out a large amount of piling on the project, and in particular for the main stadium.

We were heavily involved during a lengthy design and specification period leading up to the commencement of works on site, developing our systems and gaining approval from all relevant parties. We demonstrated the flexibility of our solutions and not only designed and installed retaining structures, but also cladding solutions for numerous sheet piled walls and bridge abutments. The stone used to face our Textomur system was recycled concrete from site won operations.
