Phi Group's works of the A1 Birtley to Coal House improvement scheme are progressing well, with both modular block reinforced soil and Textomur reinforced soil slopes being installed. Principal Contractor Costain are in charge of delivering this important scheme to reduce congestion on this busy section of the A1.

Phi's Leeds office have been heavily involved with the detailed design of the scheme for a long time, and it is great to see the works being installed under contract with Walters.
