Phi Group's office in Dunfermline has completed the supply and installation of a gabion basket retaining wall, to facilitate the construction of a new substation in the Central Highlands near Killin. Working for Global Infrastructure Scotland Ltd, with Tony Gee as designers, the gabion basket retaining wall is 110m long and retains up to 3.0m in height, with a face area of 312m2 and overall volume of 462m3. Construction was completed on time and on budget even with the seasonal weather playing its part.
