Taylor Wimpey contracted Phi Group to design, supply and install two of their BBA Certified Permacrib timber crib retaining walls at their fantastic Berwick Green Development near Cribbs Causeway in Bristol. The two Permacrib walls have a total length of 280m and retain up to 3.50m in height, with a face area of 550m2.
The pictures show the 1.80m fence incorporated into the top of the Permacrib walls and also the climb prevention mesh installed to the lower portion of the wall face.
One of the walls is in an area where the houses are now occupied and gives a 'soft' retaining wall option in back garden areas. Taylor Wimpey are now busy building houses adjacent to the longer Permacrib wall, so it will be great to see it when they are completed.
