Phi Group were approached by consulting engineers Clarke Nicholls Marcell, to provide a solution for a retaining wall at Kingston Hospital, in Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey. The Trust is selling one of the old building on site for construction of a new care home, and part of the agreement was to provide a retaining wall to support their land to enable the future development.
Phi Group provided design details to enable the Trust to tender the demolition package, which our works formed part of. Working for the successful contractor, eBrit Services Ltd, Phi group undertook the design supply and installation of an Andacrib concrete crib retaining wall to provide a robust, maintenance free solution that met all of the Client's requirements.
Access was limited and careful co-ordination by all parties was key to making the project a success.
Not the largest wall we have built, but it was a great example of how early involvement with a project means Phi Group can really add value.
